Our sweet wines

The most southerly part of the Vinadeis garden is in Roussillon, the terroir of excellence for “Vins Doux Naturels” . These fortified wines, that is to say wines traditionally vinified from well-ripened grapes, but whose fermentation is stopped by the addition of alcohol. By stopping the fermentation, some of the sugar is not converted into alcohol. Naturally sweet, alcoholic wines are obtained.
There are two main types of wine: Muscat and Grenache. The colour of the wines varies according to the proportion of each grape variety, their provenance, the time of maceration, the fortification stage and especially the maturing stage, which may involve various degrees of oxidation.
