DOMAINE

DE CAZELLES VERDIER

Jean-Paul Verdier, an heir to centuries of winemaking tradition, has been making wine since 1980. He perpetuates the domaine’s history and reputation by producing wines that are deeply-coloured and well-structured.

The domaine’s history began in 1713 when the Verdier family acquired a 50-hectare plot of vines here.

The domaine prospered and was handed down from father to son, but also from male to female as Jean-Paul Verdier’s mother took over the domaine from her grandfather.

Jean-Paul works with great determination and dedication to produce wines of character in an environmentally-friendly manner. The wines are mainly red and one is named after an ancestor, a certain ‘Courtès’, a contemporary of Louis XVI.

The majority of the domaine is now certified as organic.
