TERROIRS

EN GARRIGUES

The Terroirs en Garrigues cooperative wineries, just outside Béziers, have an architectural heritage rooted in the rural landscape of the villages of Corneilhan (built in 1936), Bassan (1946) and Thézan.

Located in a very hilly area of slopes and plains, the Vinadeis Hérault vineyards boast a great diversity of grape varieties planted according to the type of the soil. The sand in the Corneilhan area, for example, which is very old sand often lying in thick layers, enables us to produce wines that are lighter and less concentrated and is suitable for white and rosé wines. The more arid land in Bassan, with its Villafranchian terraces, built over ancient prehistoric glaciers, gives us more complex wines.
